Grey Art Gallery is New York University's fine art museum, located in the Silver Center, adjacent to Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village, New York City. The gallery’s present founding, in 1975, honors Mrs. Abby Weed Grey; some 1,000 works of Iranian, Indian, and Turkish contemporary art comprise the Ben Abby Weed Grey Collection of Contemporary Asian and Middle Eastern Art.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.nytimes.com/1983/06/04/obituaries/abby-weed-grey-art-patron-and-founder-of-study-center.html )〕 From the 1920s to the mid-1940s, the same location on the NYU campus housed the Gallery of Living Art established by Albert Eugene Gallatin. The Grey Art Gallery oversees the art collection of New York University, founded in 1958 with the acquisition of Francis Picabia's ''Resonateur'' and Fritz Glarner's ''Relational Painting.''
